The 2026 Teachers' Day takes as its theme "Vigorously Promoting the Spirit of Educators and Jointly Fostering a Social Custom of Respecting Teachers and Valuing Education," which has set the direction and gathered strength for the cause of education and student cultivation in the new era. As a high-quality Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution jointly established by Xi'an Technological University and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Russia, since its founding in 2023, the Institute has always upheld the original aspiration of fostering virtue through education, leveraged the high-quality educational resources of both Chinese and Russian universities, devoted itself to the track of cultivating internationalized engineering talent, and concentrated on nurturing interdisciplinary senior engineering professionals with solid foundations, outstanding capabilities, and broad horizons.
Looking back on the path of dedication traversed, the Institute's educational endeavors have steadily improved in quality and yielded abundant fruits. This year, the Ministry of Education officially approved the expansion of the Institute's enrollment scale from 960 to 1,320 students. This landmark breakthrough fully demonstrates the excellent quality and vigorous vitality of the Institute's Sino-foreign cooperative education and marks a new stage in the Institute's high-quality development. Over the three years since its founding, students of the Institute have forged ahead with dedication and pursued their studies diligently, collectively winning more than 120 awards in various national, provincial, and ministerial-level competitions. A fine academic atmosphere has prevailed, and the characteristics of internationalized, interdisciplinary talent cultivation have become increasingly distinct. Every remarkable achievement and every step of growth and transformation has been imbued with the meticulous dedication and selfless contributions of all course instructors and embodies everyone's wisdom, hard work, perseverance, and sense of responsibility.
Here, we especially thank the Russian instructors who have come from afar. You have crossed mountains and seas to join us, carrying with you the original aspiration of rigorous scholarship and integrating the profound engineering educational heritage and advanced teaching concepts of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University into every class. The immersive all-English teaching model has built an academic platform aligned with international standards for students and opened a window to the wider world. You are not only disseminators of professional knowledge and cultivators of engineering capabilities, but also friendly envoys of Sino-Russian cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations. Using the classroom as a bond and exchange as a bridge, you enable the educational essence and cultural charm of both China and Russia to blend and flourish together on campus.
At the same time, we sincerely thank all Chinese instructors for their silent dedication and wholehearted commitment. You have devoted yourselves to the frontlines of teaching, proactively aligned with internationalized educational standards, and precisely carried out various tasks including teaching coordination, coursework tutoring, talent cultivation, and teaching support. With a rigorous scholarly attitude, a high sense of professional responsibility, and solid professional competence, you have built a firm foundation for the Sino-foreign cooperative education system, ensured that internationalized talent cultivation is carried out in a standardized, orderly, and efficient manner, and safeguarded the high-quality development of the Institute's educational endeavors.
